The Board of Directors of Envision Science Academy announced that it received $11.7 million in bond proceeds to secure land and build a permanent facility. On May 17, 2016, BB&T Capital Markets, the underwriter, successfully facilitated the closing of the non-rated tax-exempt and taxable revenue bonds issued by the Public Finance Authority. The bond proceeds will be used to acquire about 15 acres of land, on which Envision Science Academy will construct an approximately 62,000 square foot, two story building with sizable classrooms, science and STEAM labs, a middle school regulation size gymnasium, and adjacent recreational space consisting of playground areas, athletics fields, and open spaces. Renderings of the new facility, including images of the exterior of the building and interior floor plans, may be viewed on the school’s website. The new site is located at the intersection of Traditions Grande Boulevard and Oak Grove Church Road in Wake Forest, North Carolina. A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for June 2016 to celebrate the new construction.

Exciting News – We have a home!

Envision Science Academy, and our developers, are pleased to announce that we have secured a location for the permanent home of our school! The future site is nestled in the prestigious Traditions neighborhood off Traditions Grande Boulevard in Wake Forest, NC. The site features areas for the new building, visitor/staff parking, carpool queuing and open space, which will accommodate Envision’s successfully growing enrollment. Our developers will continue to move forward with Town and State approvals over the next several months. The approval process is often an unpredictable part of the schedule, and more updates will provided as they become available. Until we are certain that the new building will be completed on time, we will play it safe and evaluate contingency space plans for the fall of 2016. We appreciate the support and patience of all staff, families and stakeholders while planning this momentous facility project.

US2020 RTP STEM Expo

On Earth Day (April 22, 2016), Envision’s 6th grade students participated in the 2nd Annual Spring STEM Expo, hosted by US2020 RTP. Our young scholars learned about STEM careers through interactive displays provided by regional companies and universities, who encouraged them to continue their STEM education. Our Eagles also contributed to ongoing research projects, engaged in interactive demonstrations, and participate in hands-on science activities.

New Website!

We are extremely happy to finally announce our new website design. This website is the culmination of several months of intensive planning, design and implementation work that has taken place. During this process we identified the three primary goals that the new design should focus on:

  • Clear and concise navigation and delivery of information to our current ESA families, potential future ESA families, and our supporters.
  • Consolidation of information into an easy-to-read and easy-to-use resource that includes a single calendar for school event and activity information.
  • A modern and responsive site design that will scale up as the school continues to grow and mature.

Over the next several months, as we close out this school your and move into the next, we will be making additional changes that will also affect the website as well as the school's overall communication method. We will be make the shift from grade level web pages to teacher specific pages and adding enhanced methods of emergency notification from the school among other improvements.

Mandarin Fashion Project

Envision scholars explored art and history in Mandarin class by designing and presenting HanFus, traditional dresses and gowns worn by Chinese people during the Han Dynasty. Students had a choice of making life-size HanFus or using craft materials for prototypes.
